译文
极其美好的时光。电光环绕北斗，星如虹流于华渚，国运千载会当兴盛隆昌。进献全天下不同寻常的祥瑞。怀胎十月产期满，我皇诞生，皇图有继，普天同庆。金枝玉叶芬芳，五色云气升腾。并赐予祥瑞的天、地、人之灵眷顾保佑，秀挺英哲，足以掩盖前王。年年遇逢四月清和嘉节，赏赐全国举杯祝酒。
不论属国中原，都不远万里梯山航海而来。朝廷内奏起象征教平音和、君圣臣贤的舜之“韶”乐，像大禹一样全聚各路诸侯。朝班如鹓鹭井然有序。附属国仰望宗主国，山也呼唤，鳌也鼓舞，遥燃香炉。我皇犹如尧帝，其仁如天，其知如神。就之如日，望之如云。仰望祝寿：祝我皇寿比南山，万寿无疆。愿崇高的皇位和帝王基业，与天地同长久！
注释
送征衣：词牌名，柳永《乐章集》注：中吕宫。双调一百二十一字，前段十二句七平韵，后段十一句六平韵。
过韶阳：刚过美好温暖的春天。韶：美好，阳：温暖，指春天。
璇枢电绕：璇是北斗七星第二星，枢为第一星，此处代指北斗七星；电绕，电光环绕。电绕北斗星的异常天象是祥瑞的征兆，传说黄帝生时电光绕北斗。
华渚（zhǔ）虹流：华渚，古代传说中的地名；虹流，像流动的长虹。传说有星如虹，流于华渚，则少昊生。
运：时运，国运。
罄（qìng）：容器名，此处指尽。
环宇：整个宇宙。
荐：进献。
诞弥月：足月而生。
瑶图：指天空上出现的美好图画。
缵（zuǎn）：继续。
玉叶：此指皇室子孙。
腾芳：散发出芬芳的香味。此指人才华横溢。
景贶（kuàng）：即贶景，上天赐予的奇异美景
挺：突出。
掩：掩盖。
清和：农历四月的别称。白居易《初夏闲吟兼呈韦宾客》：“孟夏清和月，东都闲散官”
率土：普天之下的土地。《诗·小雅·北山》：“率土之滨，莫非王臣。”
称觞：举杯祝贺。
无间：没有间隔，此处指亲密无间。
要荒：边远荒僻之地。张衡《东京赋》：“藩国奉聘,要荒来质。”
梯航：梯山航海，比喻长途跋涉，经历险远的旅程。
彤庭：皇宫大殿，汉代皇宫的中庭都漆成红色，称彤庭，后泛指皇宫。班固《西京赋》：“于是玄墀扣砌，玉阶彤庭。”
舜张大乐：像舜那样举行盛大宴会。
禹会群方：禹王会见各个地方的部落首领。
鹓行：鹓，传说中与鸾凤同类的鸟，其飞行序列井然。鹓行，比喻朝臣上朝时序列井然的样子。
上国：宋代之时，宋朝的附属国人把宋朝称为上国。
山呼：旧时臣子对君主祝颂的礼节，指臣子向君主三叩头，每叩一头喊一声万岁，第三次叩头则喊万岁万万岁，称为山呼。
抃（biàn）：鼓掌。
爇（ruò）：点燃。
就日：古时人们把皇帝比作太阳，就日就是接近皇帝。
瞻云：向上观，把宋仁宗比作高立于云端之上的神。
巍巍：高大的样子。
宝历：指国祚，一个王朝理论上应该维持的时间。
鸿基：伟大的基业。

送征衣·过韶阳创作背景
此首词与柳永所作另一首词《永遇乐·熏风解愠》均为仁宗祝寿词，应该是写于庆历元年到二年柳永在京为官期间。柳永在汴京只有两年，写了两首祝寿词，也就是说每年写一首。但究竟此首词和《永遇乐·熏风解愠》哪首作于元年，哪首作于二年，却无法确定。

送征衣·过韶阳鉴赏
这是柳永为宋仁宗祝寿而作的一首词。词人引经据典，搜尽《诗经》、《史记》、《汉书》、《宋书》等书中溢美之词，并将仁宗的诞生与黄帝轩辕氏、颛顼高阳氏的诞生等而视之，极尽颂扬之能事。仿佛是在向世人证明，我柳永写《鹤冲天（黄金榜上）》而落第，不是仁宗的缘故；“忍把浮名，换了浅斟低唱”，也不是在向仁宗发牢骚；“奉旨填词”，更不是对仁宗的不敬。恰恰相反，仁宗才是对我有知遇之恩的人。我要写出最美的祝寿词献给仁宗帝，既为报恩，也为洗冤！据考，柳永恰当仁宗亲政之第一年及第的，其受仁宗沾溉则无疑，三年之后，柳永写了这首词。由此可推知，柳永因所谓“薄于操行”，尝作“浮艳淫冶”之词而被“深斥”不第，决其事者应当为章献刘皇后而非仁宗。千年冤屈，柳永洗之。

柳永，（约987年—约1053年）北宋著名词人，婉约派代表人物。汉族，崇安（今福建武夷山）人，原名三变，字景庄，后改名永，字耆卿，排行第七，又称柳七。宋仁宗朝进士，官至屯田员外郎，故世称柳屯田。他自称“奉旨填词柳三变”，以毕生精力作词，并以“白衣卿相”自诩。其词多描绘城市风光和歌妓生活，尤长于抒写羁旅行役之情，创作慢词独多。铺叙刻画，情景交融，语言通俗，音律谐婉，在当时流传极其广泛，人称“凡有井水饮处，皆能歌柳词”，婉约派最具代表性的人物之一，对宋词的发展有重大影响，代表作 《雨霖铃》《八声甘州》。
