招提精舍地势好，石壁陡峭向江开。
山影深深水中映．鸟声遥遥天上来。
明灯一盏传岁月，深院无人长莓苔。
日暮山中万物静，磐声清越送客回。
注释
招提：梵语“四方”之译音，本应译为“招斗提奢”，误省作“招提”。“招提”一般作为寺名。精舍：旧时书斋、学舍，集生徒讲学之所。后亦称僧、道居住或讲法之所为精舍。此处为后一意。
双林：即娑罗双树之林，原为释迦涅檠之处，后借指极乐净土。
泠泠：形容磐声之清越。
题招提寺鉴赏
奔逝的大江边，耸峙着一座山峰，峰顶上陡起一道石壁，这就是招提精舍。由于其地势峻峭，作者一见便为之叫好。这是非常人所选择的构造屋宇的地址，也是常人不轻易涉足的领域。接着，作者既写山寺的独特环境，又语带禅机地写僧人进入的禅境。山影既可在水中消尽，则一切幻象与妄念亦可消逝在水中；天上既可传来乌声，这绝顶之上则或许亦可闻见天国妙音。一盏孤灯伴僧人渡过漫漫岁月，而菩提般若之智也如灯火代代相传。深院莓苔自然是外人久所不至而生成。目色已暮，这方外之地更觉清静，磬声泠泠，替寺僧送走来访之客。这一片清静、超脱，只属于那些深入禅道的人。

戎昱，(744～800)唐代诗人。荆州（今湖北江陵）人，郡望扶风（今属陕西）。少年举进士落第，游名都山川，后中进士。宝应元年(762)，从滑州、洛阳西行，经华阴，遇见王季友，同赋《苦哉行》。大历二年(767)秋回故乡，在荆南节度使卫伯玉幕府中任从事。后流寓湖南，为潭州刺史崔瓘、桂州刺史李昌巙幕僚。建中三年(782)居长安，任侍御史。翌年贬为辰州刺史。后又任虔州刺史。晚年在湖南零陵任职，流寓桂州而终。中唐前期比较注重反映现实的诗人之一。名作《苦哉行》写战争给人民带来灾难。羁旅游宦、感伤身世的作品以《桂州腊夜》较有名。
