译文
在大路上驾驶着一辆装饰华丽的马车正在赶路，恰好与心上人巧遇，女子在绣帘后面发出了一声令人肝肠寸断的娇呼，那离别的痛苦真是难以形容。只恨自己身上没有长出彩凤那样的两只翅膀，可以随时飞到心上人的身边，不过幸运的是两个人的心，可以像灵异的犀牛角那样，让两个人无时无刻不是心意相通的。
想当初两个人厮守的时候，真可以说是生活在金屋玉笼之中，与他们来往的人很多，家门前面经常是车水马龙。可是情郎一走，两个人相隔着万里蓬山，看不到心上人的面容，听不到心上人的声音，到底什么时候才能够再见面呢？那绵绵不尽的相思之情，到什么时候才能够停止呢！
注释
鹧（zhè）鸪（gū）天：词牌名，又名“思佳客”、“于中好”。双调，五十五字，押平声韵。
画毂（gǔ）：用五彩装饰的车。
身无彩凤双飞翼，心有灵犀（xī）一点通：出自晚唐诗人李商隐《无题》诗，指心意相通，互相都明白对方的想法。灵犀：犀牛的角。据古书中记载，有种犀牛的角被称为“通天犀”，这种犀牛的角上有一条白线，通过白线可以互相传递信息，人们视其为灵异之物，故称灵犀。
金作屋：暗用汉武帝“金屋藏娇”的典故。汉武带小时候喜欢长公主的女儿阿娇，说“若得阿娇作妇，当作金屋贮之也”。词中用来指宫女居住在豪华幽深的后宫。
刘郎已恨蓬山远，更隔蓬山几万重：化用李商隐《无题》中的诗句“刘郎已恨蓬山远，更隔蓬山一万重”。相传东汉永平年间，剡县人刘晨、阮肇同入天台山采药。遇见两个女子，被留住半年，等到回乡时，其子孙已历七代，始知山中所遇为仙女，他们又重入天台山寻觅仙女，却已不见踪迹。词中比喻爱情受到阻隔。刘郎：指刘晨；蓬山：指蓬莱山，古代传说中的三神山之一，词中泛指神仙居处。

鹧鸪天·画毂雕鞍狭路逢创作背景
据南宋黄异《唐宋诸贤绝妙词选》卷三记载：词人在朝廷做翰林学士的时候，有一天他走在京城的大道上，适逢皇家后宫的车仗回宫，其中有一辆车上坐着的宫女掀开车帘惊喜地叫了一声：啊，那是小宋！所谓“小宋”，即指词人。词人回到家中，心中有所思念，便写下了这首词。

鹧鸪天·画毂雕鞍狭路逢鉴赏
词的上片主要是叙事，讲述的是作者偶遇佳人，并对佳人一见钟情的浪漫爱情故事。故事伊始，两人的相遇便颇具浪漫色彩。“画毂雕鞍狭路逢，一声肠断绣帘中”，在狭窄的道路上作者恰巧遇到华美的宫车从旁经过，一声令人肠断的呼唤从绣帘中传出。这便是两人的初遇，爱情不期而至，词人对佳人一见钟情。接着，词人借用李商隐的名句“身无彩凤双飞翼，心有灵犀一点通”来表现自己与佳人二人心意相通、两情相悦。借用李句，读来琅琅上口，又富有文采，以彩凤、灵犀自比，自然而然地体现了两人的心意与情感，同时也使得作者的情感自然而然地得到升华。上片叙事简单明了，又饱含情感，人物形象跃然纸上，鲜明生动，使人读来如临其境，自然而然地勾勒出二人相遇的场景及沉溺于感情的画面。
词的下片主要描写的是作者的相思及求而不得、盼而不得见的苦闷愁情。词人化用了唐代诗人韩偓《无题》中的“绣屏金作屋，丝幰玉为轮”，在利用前人智慧之时加入自己独特的情感体验。“金作屋，玉为笼”，亦化用了“金屋藏娇”的典故，却又赋予“金屋”新的寓意，以“金屋”“玉笼”来形容佳人住处的华美，从而进一步暗示佳人身为皇宫中人的身份，同时也暗示着两人的身份之别，这似乎又暗示着两人无法圆满的结局，为这段感情蒙上了一层阴影。佳人深居宫闱，无法掌握自己的命运，这次的相遇只能是一次短暂的邂逅。“车如流水马游龙”，引用李煜的词句，将“如”字改为“游”字，更显动态感。车子接连不断像流水一样奔驰而过，马匹络绎不绝像一条条龙一样走动。两人很快就在茫茫人海中分离，从此相见无期。运用比喻的手法具体形象地写出了街景的热闹，而这种热闹又与词人此时落寞的心境形成了对比，运用反衬的手法突出词人的失意与怅惘。最后两句“刘郎已恨蓬山远，更隔蓬山几万重”，运用刘郎的典故，来表现两人今后再相会的渺茫与遥遥无期，从而写出了词人对佳人的相思之情与怅惘的愁绪。词人改“一万重”为“几万重”，使这种愁绪与苦闷显得更加突出，也使词人的相思之情显得越发深重，情感更加鲜明、突出、沉重。
这首词用语考究，借他山之石攻玉，信手拈来，却能驾轻就熟，左右逢源，词人驾驭语言的艺术可谓高超。

宋祁（998～1061）北宋文学家。字子京，安州安陆（今湖北安陆）人，后徙居开封雍丘（今河南杞县）。天圣二年进士，官翰林学士、史馆修撰。与欧阳修等合修《新唐书》，书成，进工部尚书，拜翰林学士承旨。卒谥景文，与兄宋庠并有文名，时称“二宋”。诗词语言工丽，因《玉楼春》词中有“红杏枝头春意闹”句，世称“红杏尚书”。
