译文
我携手美丽的妓女，来到东山古谢安的墓地，为其祭奠，怅然伤悲。
我带来的美妓如鲜花明月一样恬美可亲，谢安当年亲近的美妓早已是荒草覆盖的土坟中的寒土。
至从谢安梦见白鸡已有三百年了，我在你的墓前为你洒酒，咱们一起痛饮欢乐。
喝到酒酣兴起的时候，我还为你献上即兴编排的青海舞，秋风吹落了我漂亮的紫色帽。
你当年风光一时，我也一时风光，时光的洪流滚滚向前，有什么可奇怪的呢？
注释
东土在晋唐时期代指会稽（绍兴）一带。《晋书·王羲之传》：“羲之雅好服食养性，不乐在京师，初渡浙江，便有终焉之志。会稽有佳山水，名士多居之，谢安未仕时亦居焉。孙绰、李充、许询、支遁等皆以文义冠世，并筑室东土，与羲之同好”。山即会稽东山。
“白鸡”句：谓谢安死后三百年。《晋书·谢安传》：（安）自以本志不遂，深自慨失，因怅然谓所亲曰：“昔桓温在时，吾常惧不全。忽梦乘温舆行十六里见一白鸡而止。乘温舆者，代其位也。十六里，至今十六年矣。白鸡主酉，今太岁在酉，吾病殆不起乎！”......寻薨，时年六十六。
浇：洒酒于地，以示祭奠。
青海舞：应是舞蹈名，来历不详。
紫绮冠：紫色花纹的帽子。
东山吟鉴赏
李白曾带着妓女，到东山凭吊其所崇拜的东晋名相谢安，并写下乐府《东山吟》一诗。后人曾谴责李白“狎妓”、“心态不正”，携妓女到他人坟前“比美”。中国文人、士大夫一向有狎妓嫖妓的传统，李白也不例外。《东山吟》只是表达了李白对时光流逝、物是人非的感慨。
此诗是诗人悼念谢安之作，并以谢安自况。这从“悲谢安”和“同所欢”可以看出来。
公元七百四十二年，一生好作名山游的李白来到东山凭吊谢安遗迹，写下这首《东山吟》。谢安是东晋名将，李白非常敬重，写过“但用东山谢安石，为君谈笑静胡沙”这样的名句，自比谢安来言志。谢安筑庐于东山，四十岁出仕，仍常用的成语“东山再起“指的就是谢安。谢安不仅有卓越的指挥才能，而且风流儒雅，多才多艺，世称“大才叠叠谢安，后人叹“江左风流宰相唯谢安耳”。“白鸡梦”指谢安曾做过的一梦。这里用来代谢安。谢有顺在《从世俗中来，到灵魂中去》中写道：“文学鼓励我们用别人的故事来补充自己的生活经历，也鼓励我们用别人的体验来扩展自己的精神边界——每一次阅读，我们仿佛都是在造访自己的另一种人生，甚至，阅读还可以使我们经历别人的人生，分享别人的伤感。”
“东山吟”本是李白的个人感叹，但自从这首诗流传以来，李白的慨叹就一直被无数的人所分享。是啊，那如花似玉的“他妓”已化作“古坟荒草”，但“今朝如花月”的“我妓”呢，还不照样成为一堆“古坟荒草”供后人缅怀？我们从李白的“东山吟”上走过，我们的“东山吟”在那里，后又将被谁吟哦？无论你是帝王将相、才子佳人，还是贩夫走卒、乞丐傻瓜，结局并无二样。由此想来，一种旷世的悲凉就会油然而生。而这种悲凉，就是诗歌的魅力。

李白（701年－762年），字太白，号青莲居士，唐朝浪漫主义诗人，被后人誉为“诗仙”。祖籍陇西成纪(待考)，出生于西域碎叶城，4岁再随父迁至剑南道绵州。李白存世诗文千余篇，有《李太白集》传世。762年病逝，享年61岁。其墓在今安徽当涂，四川江油、湖北安陆有纪念馆。
