译文
问花花不说话，为谁零落为谁而开。就算有三分春色，一半已随水流去，一半化为尘埃。人生能有多少欢笑，故友相逢举杯畅饮却莫辞推。整个春天翠围绿绕，繁花似锦把天地遮盖。
回首高台烟树隔断昏暗一片。不见美人踪影令人更伤情怀。拚命畅饮挽留春光却挽留不住，乘着酒醉春天又偷偷离开。西楼斜帘半卷夕阳映照，奇怪的是燕子衔着花片仿佛把春带来。刚刚在枕上做着欢乐的美梦，却又让无情的风雨声破坏。

幕天席地：以天地为幕席，比喻高旷的意思。
翠绕珠围：形容豪华，又称珠围翠绕。
高台：即高阳台。
青楼，指妓女所居之处。

木兰花慢·西湖送春鉴赏
梁曾《木兰花慢·西湖送春》词，并没有严格按照上片写景、下片抒情的路数来写，反倒即景生情，情景交融，写出了对春景极力挽留又无力挽留的情绪变化。
“问花花不语，为谁落，为谁开？”以问句开头，语义显豁。开篇是发问的动作，后雨句是问的内容。其实作者心中是有数的。
“花开花落”，“总赖东君主”。眼下的情形是，十分春色，仅余三分。就是这三分春色，也将一半随波而逝，一半化作尘埃。良辰美景，如此难留。人世难逢开口笑。一旦好友相遇，干脆浮一大白，尽情享受这美好时光好了。白天不妨以天地为幕席，喝个痛快，更有妓女劝酒，沉醉春风。作者问花不语，逢酒必饮，看起来十分放浪佻达，但细细品味，好像仍有抱负不得施展的抑郁隐含其中。毕竟残春、流水、尘埃的意象，是无法让人变得斗志昂扬的。“幕天席地”、“翠绕珠围”的场面，热闹倒是热闹，但未必能排遣愁怀。
词的过片以时间为轴，继续描写诗人的感受。开头通过“彩云”暗高台，“烟树渺吟怀”，来提示时间已悄然流逝。分明是触景生情，伤感春暮，频频举杯，开怀痛饮。但找了正当的理由：作者拼一醉不为别的，只为了将春留住。结果入喝得烂醉，春天居然偷偷溜走了。“醉里春归”，极言佳期易逝，不过一场宴饮功夫，就送走了春天。此时夕阳欲坠，燕子已纷纷归巢。白日有妓女陪酒，夜里有妓女伴眠，是当时文人的习惯作法。可惜“青楼好梦，又教风雨惊回”。好端端的梦境被风雨打破。暗喻出作者表面放荡不羁、自甘沉沦，实际上还是渴望有所作为，有所进取的。不然完全可以沉醉在温柔乡里，一直睡到东方既白。这里“风雨惊回”，不妨认为是纪实，但也流露出作者的某种企盼。
全词的情绪变化有耐人寻味之处：上片主张“但相逢、尊酒莫相推”，是基于“人生能几欢笑”的前提，堪称豪放。待到“拼一醉留春，留存不住，醉里春归”。已见无奈，已觉伤感，直到“一枕青楼好梦，又教风雨惊回”，则不仅是伤感，而且是悲哀了。留春不住，可叹天意，青楼梦醒，叫人不堪。字面上没有失望，伤感的意思，而风雨惊梦的细节，还是泄露了作者好梦难圆的惆帐。这其间，不光包括对春光易逝的叹惋，也应包含对自己壮志难酬的无奈。
