译文
凛冽的江风飘摇而起，吹得江边高树秋声萧瑟。
登上船头只觉清夜景色佳美，扬帆起航小舟前进。
舟上只见月儿随着碧山回转，水与青天相合而流。
晃晃悠悠仿佛行往遥远的星河，只觉得云压树林幽暗一片。
眺望归路水流浩荡，眺望前程逝水滔滔。
徒然悲伤蕙草衰歇，又听那采菱之歌满含哀怨。
曲折的江岸掩迷了后边的渡口，明亮的沙滩看见前边的小洲。
思念您啊又不可相见，眺望远方徒然增加离别的情怀。

⑴崔宗之：杜甫所咏“饮中八仙”之一，是李白好友，开元二十七年（739）左右任礼部员外郎。
⑵飘飘：一作“飘摇”。

⑹碧山：青山。
⑺星河：银河。
⑻流水：流逝的江水，亦比喻流逝的岁月。

⑽菱歌：采菱之歌。

月夜江行寄崔员外宗之创作背景
崔宗之乃李白好友。崔宗之先李白而逝，李白《忆崔郎中宗之游南阳遗吾孔子琴抚之潸然感旧》云：“一朝摧玉树，生死殊飘忽。留我孔子琴，琴存人已没。惟传《广陵散》，但哭邙山骨！”可见他们之间的情谊极深厚。这首《月夜江行寄崔员外宗之》，是诗人在江南时怀念崔宗之的作品。

月夜江行寄崔员外宗之鉴赏
“飘摇江风起，萧飒海树秋。”江风飘飘，海树萧萧，时值清秋。诗人登上舟船，扬起帆席，在江面上轻轻移动，明月挂空，气爽天高，一个多么美好的月夜！曹植《公宴诗》云：“清夜游西园，飞盖相追随。”“清夜”，不仅是宜人之夜，而且还是适合于游乐之夜。谢灵运《游赤石进帆海》云：“扬帆采石华，挂席拾海月。”联系谢诗，此诗的“挂席”又多么充满诗情画意。舟行，则月似随舟而行；舟随碧山转，月也似随碧山而转，有“月行却与人相随”（《把酒问月》）之意。游兴正浓，故觉明月处处时时解人意，时时处处自来亲人；月色空明，水面开阔，故觉水天相连，水接天流。山色之“碧”，天色之“青”，正显出月色之明。诗中并未明写诗人的兴致，而兴致自见。水色澄空，星河倒影，恍恍惚惚，仿佛已离开人间，在杳杳渺渺的星河上行舟。晋王羲之《镜湖》诗云：“山阴路上行，如坐镜中游。”南朝陈释惠标有《咏水》诗云：“舟如空里泛，人似镜中行。”李白《清溪行》亦云：“人行明镜中，鸟度屏风里。”都把至清的水比喻为镜，用的是明喻；此诗暗示江清如镜，因为天上的星河都映于水中，而且进一层说舟是在星河间行，写得更神奇，更有情趣。因为有天上星河行的感觉，因此所见云林也就有如天界之物，格外幽渺。
“云林幽”以上的六句叙写“月夜江行”。“归路方浩浩，徂川去悠悠”两句过渡。上文写清夜曰“美”，写舟移曰“轻”，写月行曰“随”，写山曰“碧”，写天曰“青”，良辰美景，足见诗人心境的恬适。然而，回顾来途则归路浩浩，瞻望前路则见徂川悠悠，心中不觉升起一缕淡淡的哀绪。“浩浩”、“悠悠”，仍然是眼前之景，但景中已不露声色地注入作者的情感。接着，引出“徒悲”，听歌愁，引出怀宗之，增离忧，情绪直转而下，用笔自然，不露凿痕。“蕙草歇”，回应“海树秋”；“蕙草”，一种香草，《楚辞》常用来比喻贤人。“徒悲蕙草歇”，有所思美人不可见之意。秋日怀人，情调凄楚。此时，又有菱歌泛夜，莲娃无忧无虑地唱着欢快的歌，无形中反而增添了诗人的哀愁。又是两句景语。河岸曲折，后浦迷不可觅；沙头明亮，前洲清楚可见。“后浦”、“前洲”暗应“归路”、“徂川”。归路凄迷，不知何时才能再同友人聚首；徂川汩汩，逝者如斯，不知来日还有几多。往日携手同游的一幕幕似又映现在眼前。《忆崔宗之游南阳遗吾孔子琴抚之潸然感旧》有“忆与崔宗之，白水弄奇月”的描写，可见他们曾月下出游，眼前明月依旧，而两情异地，不能相聚，不禁叫人伤怀。本来，望远是望冀见到君面，但君既“远”，望又不能及之。既不能及之，望而反增忧愁。结二句，落在题面“寄崔”。
月朗气清，江风猎猎，如此良夜，诗人登舻江行，怡然自得。面对江风明月，不觉触发怀念好友崔宗之之情。宗之和自己一样，有着白眼看鸡虫的傲岸个性，和自己一样能“吟诗作赋北窗里”，和自己一样“会须一饮三百杯”，月夜江行，无此良朋，不禁增忧。前半写景，景色清雅，优美如画，最初出游本无所谓忧。“归路”、“徂川”两句，触景生情，情绪陡转，或正面写蕙草歇，或反面听菱歌怨，愈写愈悲，愈写愈愁，结二句直吐对宗之的一片深情。用笔有如行云流水，当行则行，当止则戛然而止。

李白（701年－762年），字太白，号青莲居士，唐朝浪漫主义诗人，被后人誉为“诗仙”。祖籍陇西成纪(待考)，出生于西域碎叶城，4岁再随父迁至剑南道绵州。李白存世诗文千余篇，有《李太白集》传世。762年病逝，享年61岁。其墓在今安徽当涂，四川江油、湖北安陆有纪念馆。
