清明译文及注释
译文
我是在无花可观赏，无酒可饮的情况下过这个清明节的，这样寂寞清苦的生活，就像荒山野庙的和尚，一切对于我来说都显得很萧条寂寞。
昨天从邻家讨来新燃的火种，在清明节的一大早，就在窗前点灯，坐下来潜心读书。
注释
兴味：兴趣、趣味。
萧然：清净冷落。
新火：唐宋习俗，清明前一日禁火寒食，到清明节再起火，称为“新火”。
清明鉴赏
这首诗所写的应该作者早年读书生活的真实情况，清苦，寂寞，还可能有孤独。为了前程，也许有兴趣或习惯的原因，临窗攻书，发奋苦读，过着山野僧人般的清苦生活。即使在清明节，没有像平常人那样外出踏青，去欣赏山花烂漫的春景，也没有邀约友朋饮酒作乐。君子慎独，作为读书人，没有忘记民俗传统——寒食节禁用烟火。一到禁忌烟火的期限过了，马上去邻居那里讨来灯火，抓紧时间，在静静的夜里继续苦苦用功，发奋苦读。
从这里可以看出古人读书的用功程度，我们虽然不推崇“兴味索然”，但是应该学习古人那种读书的毅力。

王禹偁（954—1001）北宋白体诗人、散文家。字元之，汉族，济州巨野（今山东省巨野县）人，晚被贬于黄州，世称王黄州。太平兴国八年进士，历任右拾遗、左司谏、知制诰、翰林学士。敢于直言讽谏，因此屡受贬谪。真宗即位，召还，复知制诰。后贬知黄州，又迁蕲州病死。王禹偁为北宋诗文革新运动的先驱，文学韩愈、柳宗元，诗崇杜甫、白居易，多反映社会现实，风格清新平易。词仅存一首，反映了作者积极用世的政治抱负，格调清新旷远。著有《小畜集》。
