译文
将一把青色的秧苗，插入水中。那秧苗瞬间变得青葱。就好似农夫的手，将它染绿。天空中，飘洒着朦胧如烟的细雨。
和煦的春风，吹绿了无边无际的稻田。白鹭飞来，望着那无涯的青翠，竟找不到落脚的地。
注释
横溪堂春晓：横溪堂春天的早晨。横溪堂，作者居住之处，旧址在今浙江省天台山附近。春晓，春天的早晨。
青秧：绿色的秧苗。
趁手：顺手、就手。趁，随即。
轻烟：淡淡的烟雾。
漠漠：烟雾迷漫的广大无边的样子。
冥冥（mǐng）：形容天气昏暗。
雨冥冥：天气阴沉沉的，将要下雨。
染尽：这里形容春风把田里的稻苗全部吹绿，好像用绿色染过似的。
三千顷：形容稻田面积广阔。顷，地积单位，一顷等于一百亩。
白鹭：水鸟名，羽毛洁白，腿长，能入水捕食鱼虾。方。
趁手青：插秧下田，随手就青。
漠漠：漫无边际。
冥冥：昏暗的样子。
染：这里指东风把秧苗吹成青色。
东风：春风。整首诗没有一个字用到“绿”，可出现在我们面前的是一片生意盎然的绿，一幅人和自然和睦交融的春之画卷，生机勃勃。
横溪堂春晓鉴赏
首句“一把青秧趁手青”，写插下的秧苗迅速返青，说明春天孕育着强大的生命力。前一个“青”做形容词，后一个“青”做动词。第二句“轻烟漠漠雨冥冥”，写春天的季节特点：薄雾弥漫，细雨朦朦，这正是万物生长的好时机。这样的天气特点，是江南水乡春天常见的景象，有鲜明的地区色彩。第三句“东风染尽三千顷”写春风吹绿了广阔的田野。这里用“东风”代替春风，并用“染尽”强调春风的力量。到底染尽了什么？诗人不说，也不需说，读者自然会想到和煦的春风把一望无际的稻田都吹绿了，大地好像用绿色染过似的，到处都充满了无限的生机。第四句“白鹭飞来无处停”以白鹭飞来没有落脚的地方作结，反衬禾苗长得密密麻麻，热情歌颂农民的辛勤劳动改变了大地的面貌。
天上细雨霏霏，地上绿茵一片，农民们正在弯着腰插秧，田野上白鹭飞翔，这就是诗人描绘的一幅江南田园风光图，而这幅图画中突出一个“青”字，展示了春风春雨的力量。诗歌画面鲜明，语言优美，情趣盎然。

虞似良，南宋诗人。字仲房，号横溪真逸，又好宝莲山人。虞似良，横溪（今大吕乡横溪村）人，祖籍余杭。宋建炎初父官于台，遂居属黄岩横溪淳熙年间为兵部侍郎，后任成都府路运判官。工诗，擅篆隶书。（今属温岭城南其诗词清婉，得唐人旨趣。善篆隶，尤工隶书，家藏汉碑刻数千本，心摹手追，尽得旨趣，晚自成一家。有《篆隶韵书》行于世，所书碑碣极多。宋释居简曾评：“虞兵部仲房书《杜工部李潮八分小篆》、《王宰山水图》两篇，隶法。”
