平原草枯矣，重阳后、黄叶树骚骚。记玉勒青丝，落花时节，曾逢拾翠，忽听吹箫。今来是、烧痕残碧尽，霜影乱红凋。秋水映空，寒烟如织，皂雕飞处，天惨云高。
人生须行乐，君知否？容易两鬓萧萧。自与东君作别，刬地无聊。算功名何许，此身博得，短衣射虎，沽酒西郊。便向夕阳影里，倚马挥毫。

译文
重阳节过后，平原上的草都枯萎了，黄叶在疾风中凋落。记得春日骑马来此踏青时，多么的意气风发。如今故地重游已是萧瑟肃杀，空旷凋零。秋水映破长空，寒烟弥漫，苍穹飞雕，一片苍茫。
人生在世，年华易逝，须及时行乐。春天过后，依旧心绪绪无聊。想想功名利禄算得了什么，不若借酒射猎，英姿勃发，在夕阳下挥毫泼墨那是何等畅快。
注释
骚骚：秋日风吹草木声。
玉勒（lè）青丝：玉饰之马衔及马缰绳。此代指骑马游春。
拾翠：拾取翠鸟羽毛作首饰。后多代指女子或女子游春踏青。
寒烟如织：清寒浓郁的烟雾弥漫在四处。
皂（zào）雕（diāo）：一种黑色的大型猛禽。
天惨（cǎn）：天色昏暗不明。
东君：司春之神。
刬（chǎn）地：只是、依旧、照旧。
短衣射虎：短衣，打猎的装束。射虎，用汉李广故事。《史记·李将军列传》：“广所居郡，闻有虎，尝自射之。及居右北平，射虎，虎腾伤广，广亦竟射杀之。”后在诗词中常以此形容英雄气概、英勇豪迈。

风流子·秋郊即事创作背景
这首词属于纳兰性德早期的作品。纳兰性德夙怀经邦济世的抱负，但难以实现，因而常自慨叹。这首词便是纳兰与友人一起出行想起自己的际遇因而写下这首词。

风流子·秋郊即事鉴赏
上片布景，展现行猎的场景。谓平原革枯，黄叶骚骚。这是重阳后郊外的景象。清秋时节，郊外平原，行猎的时间、地点，因此已有清楚的交代。但步入现场，却引起对于另一场景的思忆。接着，“今来是”，现场的场景又回到眼前。上片以“枯”、“残”、“惨”，显示今日郊原的萧瑟情状，并以记忆中的“玉勒青丝”加以映衬，令今日郊原，更显萧瑟，为布景。
下片说情，谓人生在世，应当及时行乐。此生若能够穿着短衣，在原野打猎，到西郊的酒肆，大碗喝酒，趁着黄昏，靠着马背，在夕阳影里，任意挥毫。下片就眼前事叙说观感，即就“短衣射虎”，表达词人的人生观感。
全词情调悲壮，意境沉雄，艺术上似已达化境。词人使用了黄、青、翠、碧、红、皂、惨、白等多种反差比较大的颜色，使词境绚丽，色感丰富。于秋景、猎事中穿插拾翠女子的青春形象，可谓神来之笔，犹如东坡笔下有小乔，稼轩词中有红襟翠袖，而又比这二者更富活力与诗意美，故她又是一种象征，以下阕中的“东君”称之，并不为过。这样写，使全词刚而有柔，直而有媚，可代表豪放词的一格。这首词表达了词人慷慨激烈的壮怀和伤春悲秋、忆昔怀旧的情绪，并抒发了岁月空老、平生不得志的身世之叹。

纳兰性德（1655－1685），满洲人，字容若，号楞伽山人，清代最著名词人之一。其诗词“纳兰词”在清代以至整个中国词坛上都享有很高的声誉，在中国文学史上也占有光采夺目的一席。他生活于满汉融合时期，其贵族家庭兴衰具有关联于王朝国事的典型性。虽侍从帝王，却向往经历平淡。特殊的生活环境背景，加之个人的超逸才华，使其诗词创作呈现出独特的个性和鲜明的艺术风格。流传至今的《木兰花令·拟古决绝词》——“人生若只如初见，何事秋风悲画扇？等闲变却故人心，却道故人心易变。”富于意境，是其众多代表作之一。
