译文
入夜出来时乘坐毂辇，来到这西园漫步游玩。
两条渠水已把园浇遍，美好的树木围绕渠边。
低短的树枝扫着羽盖，修长的树枝伸向蓝天。
疾风从车后推轮飞跑，飞鸟在前面愉快回旋。
红霞中升起一轮明月，星花点点闪现在云天。
高空垂下美丽的光彩，五光十色有多么新鲜！
我们不是赤松、子乔，谁的寿命能比上神仙？
这样游玩也舒心快意，说不定保我活上百年。
注释
芙蓉池：邺城（今河北临漳）铜雀园中之一景。铜雀园在邺城之西，因建有铜雀台而得名，为曹操的王家园林。芙蓉，即荷花。
辇（niǎn）：帝王后妃乘坐的车。游：一作“遨”。
溉灌：一作“灌溉”。
嘉木：指茂美的林木。通川：园中水流。此句言树木沿园中小河之两岸密植。
卑枝：低垂的树木枝条。拂：轻轻地掠过。羽盖：用羽毛装饰的车篷。
修：长。摩：接触。
惊风：车疾驰引起的急风。毂（gǔ）：车轮中心的圆木，周围与车辐的一端相接。中有圆孔，用以插轴。此"轮毂"指车轮的轴头。
丹霞：晚霞，呈红色。
华星：闪耀着光华的星星。
上天：自天而下。
五色：青、赤、黄、白、黑，古以此为正色。此指彩虹的多种颜色。一何：多么。
松乔：传说中的两位仙人赤松子和王子乔。

芙蓉池作创作背景
汉献帝建安十六年（211），曹丕为五官中郎将，置官署，为副丞相。天下向慕，宾客如云。当时在曹魏的大本营邺城聚集了一批文士，形成了以他为核心的邺下文人集团。曹丕为领袖人物，曹植为重要成员，“建安七子”多数参与。闲常之日，他们饮宴游赏，唱和诗赋。此诗当作于曹丕任五官中郎将时或以后几年间。

芙蓉池作鉴赏
首二句点明行游及游池的时间和地点，写乘车夜游西园的愉悦心情。一个“夜”字，突出了诗人的浓厚游兴，也是后文写景的基点。“逍遥步西园”，又表现了诗人当时轻松愉快的心情，也正因为作此逍遥之游，所以下文所描绘的景物才是那样赏心悦目，令人陶醉。“西园”，是芙蓉池的所在，诗人们经常聚会之处，曹植《公宴》诗：“公子敬爱客，终夜不知疲，清夜游西园，飞盖相追随。”即写他们在这里夜以继日的欢游情景。
中间十句承接上文，写行游所见，扣紧“夜行”与“逍遥”，着力描绘芙蓉池优美动人的夜景。“双渠相溉灌，嘉木绕通川”，总写这里的形势和环境的优雅。接着以“卑枝”二句具体写嘉木：茂密葱茏的树木环渠而生，相互掩映衬托，下者枝叶横生，遮途塞路，上者遮天蔽日，直达云表。其后又以“惊风扶轮毂，飞鸟翔我前”来继续写行游所见和其时愉悦的感觉，一切有生命和无生命的物体似乎都在为诗人的到来而争献殷勤，惊风吹拂，似乎在为诗人扶辇，飞鸟翔跃，又似乎在为诗人引路。优闲自得的心情，跃然纸上。因为是夜游，所以这里没有具体细致地描绘芙蓉池的优美景物，而是通过粗线条的勾勒，运用动静结合的手法，表现了一种优美的意境，显示了芙蓉池无限勃发的生机。后四句则转而写夜空之美，万紫千红的晚霞之中，镶嵌着一轮皎洁的明月，满天晶莹的繁星在云层间时隐时现，闪烁发光，组成了一幅色彩绚丽的画面。在这优雅如画般的景色之中，诗人简直已置于仙境而忘却了自身的存在，不自觉地发出了“上天垂光彩，五色一何鲜”的感慨。此数句运用鲜明的色彩，把芙蓉池的夜景描绘的光怪陆离，五采缤纷，显示了他创作上华丽壮大的一大特色。这和他在《典论·论文》中所强调的“诗赋欲丽”，则正相一致。刘桢《公宴》诗：“辇车飞素盖，从者盈路傍。月出照园中，珍木郁苍苍。清川过石渠，流波为鱼防。”所写景物与此诗相近，但在辞采的运用上要较此逊色得多。
末四句，笔锋一转，写行游的感受。“松”，赤松子，传说中炎帝神农时雨师，后与炎帝少女同成仙。“乔”，王子乔，即周灵王太子晋，传说他好吹笙作凤凰鸣，后道士浮丘公接以上嵩山成仙。曹丕向来不相信神仙方士之事，他的《折杨柳行》中就有“王乔假虚辞，赤松垂空言”的句子，在《典论·论方术》中更通过具体事实，指出神仙方士之不可信。所以在他这里联想起现实世界中并没有人能真正的成为神仙的事实，表示了要在这如画的景色之中，适性游乐，使身心愉悦，以求长寿。“遨游快心意，保己终百年”，是一种平实而又乐观的态度。这一联想又进一步反衬了使诗人沉醉以至流连忘返的芙蓉池景色的优美和游园的无穷乐趣。
在建安时期的游宴诗中，这一首可以说是写得最为出色的。它的一系列特点，如写景成份的增多，对仗句的使用，辞藻的华丽，景象的壮观，都反映了当时诗风的某些重要变化。因而在诗史上，它有特别值得注意之处。诗中用了主要篇幅描绘园林景物，对后来园林诗和山水诗也有影响。

曹魏高祖文皇帝曹丕（187年冬－226年6月29日），字子桓，三国时期著名的政治家、文学家，曹魏的开国皇帝，公元220－226年在位。他在位期间，平定边患。击退鲜卑，和匈奴、氐、羌等外夷修好，恢复汉朝在西域的设置。除军政以外，曹丕自幼好文学，于诗、赋、文学皆有成就，尤擅长于五言诗，与其父曹操和弟曹植，并称三曹，今存《魏文帝集》二卷。另外，曹丕著有《典论》，当中的《论文》是中国文学史上第一部有系统的文学批评专论作品。去世后庙号高祖（《资治通鉴》作世祖），谥为文皇帝，葬于首阳陵。
