译文
青丝绳牵引着幽雅的木兰船，船中之人是进士及第者，正归家省亲。
波光粼粼的澄江上，斜日依偎着乌黑发亮的归舟；巍峨的白门前，秋风阵起，吹拂着萧疏的柳条。
所居庄园，小桥流水，通往附近的集市；庄园的附近，青山绿水，湖光山色，闲云野寺，一线相连。
此去一别，何日才能相见，恐怕只有等寒食节里与君携手共游东田的大好山色。
注释
冷朝阳：生卒年不详，金陵（今江苏南京）人。
缆：绳。木兰船：指用木兰树材制成的船，有时用作船的美称。
拜庆：即拜家庆，唐时称归家省亲为拜家庆。
乌榜：即用黑油涂饰的船。榜：船桨，借指船。
白门：六朝皆定都建康，其正南门为宣阳门，俗称白门，后用以代指金陵。
家林：自家的园林，泛指家乡。
寒食：一作“寒梦”。
东田：在金陵城外。

送冷朝阳还上元创作背景
这是一首饯别之作，作于大历四年（公元769年）。金陵人冷朝阳登进士第，不待授官，即归金陵，意即上元省亲，韩翃、李端、钱起、李嘉祐等为之饯行，赋诗赠别。

送冷朝阳还上元鉴赏
首联写冷朝阳进士及第乘船归家省亲。冷朝阳金榜题名，衣锦还乡，得拜家庆，其春风得意不在马蹄，而在乌榜，故刻意写归舟，舟饰以“青丝”，又称其为“木兰船，正为衬托其得意之状，烘托气氛。
颔联遥想冷朝阳归家省亲的沿途景色。落日归舟，景色多么诱入，正与冷朝阳金榜题名相照。写到“秋风气”，“白门”，则是点明送别的时节和友人所去之地。古有摘柳送别之俗。故诗人特意写到了“疏柳”，“疏”字照应“秋”，而“柳”又暗承题之“送”别。可谓衔接紧密构思奇巧。
颈联短短十四字，描绘出“桥”、“市”、“林”、“山”、“湖”、“寺”共六种景向。其笔力可谓深厚，而冠以“小”、“野”、“平”等字眼，则衬托出了诗人所送之人的高雅。
尾联抒写别后两地相思之情。“梦”中与君“携手”同游，可见感情之真切，而“梦”之前着一“寒”字，可见别后之凄凉，反衬相思之苦，友情之深厚、浓郁。

韩翃，唐代诗人。字君平，南阳（今河南南阳）人。是“大历十才子”之一。天宝13年（754）考中进士，宝应年间在淄青节度使侯希逸幕府中任从事，后随侯希逸回朝，闲居长安十年。建中年间，因作《寒食》诗被唐德宗所赏识，因而被提拔为中书舍人。韩翃诗笔法轻巧，写景别致，在当时传诵很广。
