赵与(1242~1303)，字晦叔，号方塘，赵师雍之孙，县城西街人。南宋咸淳七年(1271)进士，任鄂州(今湖北武昌)教授。时元兵压境，士大夫轻视军情，耻言边事。赵对诸生说:"文武之用，不可偏废。韩范二公，不以言武而失文;曹彬、狄青，不以清谈而丧武。文事武备，豫然后立。"咸淳十年(1274)，元丞相伯颜兵占鄂州，赵率领宗族到军门上书，言贾似道误国，极力陈说不嗜杀人以服民心，要求保护宋室诸人。大德七年(1303)正月，卒于大都，终年62岁。家贫无钱归葬，成宗赠通议大夫、礼部尚书，谥文简，赐五千贯，给舟车还葬黄岩塔山之原。
