许伟余 (1884—1974年)，原名许挹芬，澄海莲下许厝人。早年就读广州“两广游学预备科馆”，后转学到上海中国公学。1908年起先后任教于澄海凤山小学堂、韩山师范学校、澄海中学等近10所学校。曾任《大岭东报》、《汕头时报》等编辑、主笔。1955年任广东省文史馆馆员，曾当选省人大代表、汕头市政协副主席。著有《慧观道人诗集》、《庶筑秋轩诗集》，辑为《庶筑秋轩文稿》。
