彭而述， (1605～1665)字子籛（jian），号禹峰，邓州彭桥人，明末清初官吏、学者。清顺治初年，任两湖提学佥事，守永州道，后为贵州巡抚。永州失守后，被罢官，归故里，饮酒赋诗，抒怀咏志。后得王铎推荐，初补衡州兵备 道，任副使，再升任贵州按察使、广西右布政使。后被举荐云南左布政使。后而述感到年事已高，与其追逐于战阵戎马之间，不如著书名山，随作《归田记》，归乡专事著述。彭而述被免官归里的十年间，著作甚丰，代表著作有《读史亭集》16卷、《文集》12卷、《读史外篇》8卷、《宋史外篇》8卷、《续读史外篇》8卷，其中《南游文集》、《明史断略》、《滇黔集》等今已不存。《读史异志》、《读史别志》、《读史新志》等，在前国立北平图书馆有藏。
