（1534—1610）明苏州府太仓人，字元驭，号荆石。嘉靖四十一年会试第一。授编修。累迁至国子监祭酒。万历初掌翰林院，张居正夺情，将廷杖吴中行、赵用贤等。锡爵谏之，不纳。进礼部右侍郎，以张居正恨之，还里不出。居正死后，拜礼部尚书，兼文渊阁大学士。首请禁谄谀、抑奔竞、戒虚浮、节侈靡、辟横议、简工作。时申时行为首辅，锡爵与之同郡、同科，甚相得，但性刚负气，常忤朝论。二十一年，为首辅，以拟三王并封旨，为言官所攻。八疏求罢而去。有《王文肃集》及《王文肃疏草》。
