孙襄，字思哉，福建省安溪人。由诸生入国学，清康熙37年（1698）授福安教谕，任内兴文劝学，倡修学宫，创建朱子祠，敦促士子，循循善诱，且亲自选刻课文以为模楷，因此文风日振。而后，改任泰宁一地，旋即调往台湾诸罗县为教谕，任内皆能称职。同县李光地曾言其所以能「认道理及觑文字，见识日进」，都系努力积学而致，对其精神颇表赞赏。年五十四岁时，去世于官内。
