贵德德乃显，尚力力为优。二者各有时，天运非人谋。
举世皆好义，贫贱固可羞。天下方事强，声誉将何求。
人生会此意，出处皆无忧。但恐利欲驱，由非所当由。

美事固可羡，犹当究源流。掘地得深泽，积土为高丘。
造端起不平，是果谁之尤？君子慎谋始，责躬重以周。
弱德较强力，明知势难侔。驰马走峻坂，中间岂容收。
颠越既莫救，岂得乘桴浮。君不见群雀满树急喧啾，隋侯有珠不肯投。
一鸦死时一珠碎，得轻失重非良筹。友之直谅仁可辅，药之瞑眩疾易瘳。

（1209—1281）怀孟河内人，字仲平，号鲁斋。性嗜学。从姚枢得宋二程及朱熹著作，居苏门，与枢及窦默相讲习，以行道为己任。宪宗四年，忽必烈召为京兆提学，及即位，授国子祭酒。至元二年，命议事中书省，乃上疏言事。谓“北方之有中夏者，必行汉法乃能长久”，并指出欲使“累朝勋旧改从亡国之俗”，阻力必大。多奏陈，然其言多秘，世罕得闻。又定朝仪、官制。拜中书左丞，劾阿合马专权罔上，蠹政害民。改授集贤大学士兼国子祭酒，选蒙古子弟教之。又领太史院事，与郭守敬修《授时历》成。以疾归。卒谥文正。有《读易私言》、《鲁斋遗书》。
