当宁念远氓，涂炭日以极。诏柬在廷臣，往振风纪职。
佥曰御史某，秉德刚且直。属耳按江右，风声甚煇赫。
兵政既以举，吏弊亦以革。谣言闻远近，公论推第一。
无如斯人可，拜手答明敕。天子曰命哉，超授三品秩。
天语重丁宁，纶命光舄奕。百僚无间言，相见咸唶唶。
而我岭南人，喜幸倍千百。预为乡人喜，从此得苏息。
特恩许乘传，陛辞行有日。走也官禁近，早有半面识。
中心久有怀，临分忍缄默。聊为陈本末，幸与垂采择。
惟兹东广地，富丽自古昔。秦初巳内附，汉后益广斥。
东西数千里，十郡六十邑。卫所错其间，小大五十七。
忆昔全盛时，承平久宁谧。家家有盖藏，人人各安适。
土著少流徙，世业足资给。士族尚诗礼，农家务耕织。
先期输赋税，俛首供力役。民不受箠楚，兵不识锋镝。
行旅不赍粮，远出不待吉。昏夜绝剽窃，歉岁无行乞。
况复天气暄，地利多所获。三冬著苧衣，五月收新植。
山畬少污莱，水田有潮汐。舟游泛沧茫，火种烧屴崱。
晓包趁墟饭，晴著登山屐。海错富蚌蚬，家畜剩豚鴄。
文木生山林，珍货来番舶。荔奴然火树，橘柚垂金实。

遐迩总安恬，公私举丰殖。溯彼廿年前，长吏恣胸臆。

丘浚（1418～1495）明代著名政治家、理学家、史学家、经济学家和文学家，海南四大才子之一。字仲深，号深庵、玉峰、别号海山老人，琼州琼台（今属海南）人。景泰五年进士，历官经筵讲官、侍讲、侍讲学士、翰林学士、国子临祭酒、礼部侍郎、尚书、纂修《宪宗实录》总裁官、文渊阁大学士、户部尚书兼武英殿大学士等职。丘浚学问渊博，熟悉当代掌故，晚年右眼失明仍披览不辍，研究领域涉政治、经济、文学、医学等，著述甚丰，同海瑞合称为“海南双壁”。
