寒潮冲废垒，火云烧赤冈。
四月到金陵，十日行大航。
平生游宦地，踪迹都遗忘。
道遇一园叟，问我来何方。
犹然认旧役，即事堪心伤。
开门延我坐，破壁低围墙。
却指灌莽中，此即为南厢。
衙舍成丘墟，佃种输租粮。
谋生改衣食，感旧存园庄。
艰难守兹土，不敢之他乡。
我因访故基，步步添思量。
面水背苍崖，中为所居堂。
四海罗生徒，六馆登文章。
松桧皆十围，钟筦声锵锵。
百顷摇澄潭，夹岸栽垂杨。
池上临华轩，菡萏吹芬芳。
谈笑尽贵游，花月倾壶觞。
其南有一亭，梧竹生微凉。
回头望鸡笼，庙貌诸侯王。
左李右邓沐，中坐徐与常。
霜髯见锋骨，老将东瓯汤。
配食十六侯，剑珮森成行。
得之为将相，宁复忧封疆。
北风江上急，万马朝腾骧。
重来访遗迹，落日唯牛羊。
吁嗟中山孙，志气胡勿昂！
生世苟如此，不如死道旁。
惜哉裸体辱，仍在功臣坊。
萧条同泰寺，南枕山之阳。
当时宝志公，妙塔天花香。
改葬施金棺，手诏追褒扬。
袈裟寄灵谷，制度由萧粱。
千尺观象台，太史书桢祥。
北望占旄头，夜夜愁光鋩。
高帝遗衣冠，月出修蒸尝。
图书盈玉几，弓剑堆金床。
承乏忝兼官，再拜陈衣裳。
南内因洒扫，铜龙启未央。
幽花生御榻，苔涩青仓琅。
离宫须望幸，执戟卫中郎。
万事今尽非，东逝如长江。
钟陵十万松，大者参天长。
根节犹青铜，屈曲苍皮僵。
不知何代物，同日遭斧创。
前此千百年，岂独无兴亡！
况自百姓伐，孰者非耕桑！
群生与草木，长养皆吾皇。
人理已澌灭，讲舍宜其荒。
独念四库书，卷轴夸缥缃。
孔庙铜牺尊，斑剥填青黄。
弃掷草莽间，零落谁收藏！
老翁见话久，妇子私相商。
人倦马亦疲，剪韭炊黄粱。
慎莫笑家贫，一一罗酒浆。
从头诉兵火，眼见尤悲怆。
大军从北来，百姓闻惊惶。
下令将入城，传箭需民房。
里正持府帖，佥在御赐廊。
插旗大道边，驱遣谁能当！
但求骨肉完，其敢携筐箱？
扶持杂幼稚，失散呼耶娘。
江南昔未乱，闾左称阜康。
马阮作相公，行事偏猖狂。
高镇争扬州，左兵来武昌。
积渐成乱离，记忆应难详。
下路初定来，官吏逾贪狼。
按籍缚富人，坐索干金装。
以此为才智，岂曰惟私囊。
今日解马草，明日修官塘。
诛求却到骨，皮肉俱生疮。
野老读诏书，新政求循良。
瓜畦亦有畔，沟水亦有防。
始信立国家，不可无纪纲。
春来雨水足，四野欣农忙。
父子力耕耘，得粟输官仓。
遭遇重太平，穷老其何妨！
薄暮难再留，瞑色犹青苍。

吴伟业（1609～1672）字骏公，号梅村，别署鹿樵生、灌隐主人、大云道人，世居江苏昆山，祖父始迁江苏太仓，汉族，江苏太仓人，崇祯进士。明末清初著名诗人，与钱谦益、龚鼎孳并称“江左三大家”，又为娄东诗派开创者。长于七言歌行，初学“长庆体”，后自成新吟，后人称之为“梅村体”。
