我生不信有神仙，亦不知有大罗天。
那堪见人说蓬莱，掩面却笑渠风颠。
七返还丹多不实，往往将谓人虚传。
世传神仙能飞升，又道不死延万年。
肉既无翅必坠地，人无百岁安可延。
满眼且见生死俱，死生生死相循旋。
翠虚真人与我言，他所见识大不然。
恐人缘浅赋分薄，自无寿命归黄泉。
人身只有三般物，精神与气常保全。
其精不是交感精，廼是玉皇口中涎。
其气即非呼吸气，乃知却是太素烟。
其神即非思虑神，可与元始相比肩。
我闻其言我亦怖，且怖且疑且擎拳。
但知即日动止间，一物相处常团圆。
此物根蒂乃精气，精气恐是身中填。
岂知此精此神气，根於父母未生前。
三者未常相返离，结为一块太无边。
人之生死空自尔，此物湛寂何伤焉。
吾将矍然以自思，老者必不虚其言。
是我将有可爱业，渠必以此示言诠。
开禧元年中秋夜，焚香跪地口相传。
朅尔行持三两日，天地日月软如绵。
忽然嚼得虚空破，始知钟吕皆参玄。
吾之少年早留心，必不至此犹尘缘。

白玉蟾（1194 - ？），南宋时人，祖籍福建闽清，生于海南琼州，内丹理论家。南宗的实际创立者，创始金丹派南宗，金丹派南五祖之一。生卒年待考，原名葛长庚，本姓葛，名长庚。字如晦，号琼琯，自称神霄散史，海南道人，琼山老人，武夷散人。幼聪慧，谙九经，能诗赋，长于书画，12岁时举童子科，作《织机》诗；才华横溢，著作甚丰。自幼从陈楠学丹法，嘉定五年（1212）八月秋，再遇陈楠于罗浮山，得授金丹火候诀并五雷大法。
