杨子器（生年年不详）。字名父，号柳塘。浙江慈溪人。明成化进士。弘治九等（1496年）任常熟知县，多德政。兴水利，筑堤防；召回流亡在外的人耕作；立“岁征法”，奖励提早纳粮；允许农户将“折粮银”先从事副业，待春半粮贵时交纳；又整顿徭役，按籍定役；讼狱审理及时，刑罚惩而不残。后升任吏部考功司主事，对边疆事务多有建白，官至河南左布政。工于诗文，曾与邑人桑瑜等纂修《常熟县志》4卷刊行。
