长溪杨声伯典长沙楫棹，居濒湘江，窗间所见，如燕公、郭熙画图，卧起幽适。丙午七月既望，声伯约予与赵景鲁、景望、萧和父、裕父、时父、恭父，大舟浮湘，放乎中流，山水空寒，烟月交映，凄然其为秋也。坐客皆小冠綀服，或弹琴，或浩歌，或自酌，或援笔搜句。予度此曲，即念奴娇之鬲指声也，于双调中吹之。鬲指亦谓之“过腔”，见晁无咎集。凡能吹竹者，便能过腔也。
译文：长溪人杨声伯任职于长沙，主管水上的船舶，居住在濒临湘江的地方，从窗户上望去，景色如同燕公、郭熙的山水画一般，起居十分幽雅自在。丙午七月十六日，杨声伯约我和赵景鲁、景望、萧和父、裕父、时父、恭父几人，乘大船同游湘江，行至江心，但见山野空阔，江水清寒，烟雾月色交相辉映，一派萧瑟的秋光。船中坐客都头戴小帽、身着布衣，有的弹琴，有的高歌，有的饮酒，有的提笔写诗。我创作这首曲子，乃是《念奴娇》的鬲指声，改为双调吹奏。鬲指声也叫“过腔”，见于晁无咎词集。凡是能吹奏竹笛的人，就能过腔。
注释：长溪：古县名，在今浙江霞浦县南。杨声伯：长溪人，姜夔好友，生平不详。典长沙楫棹：任主管长沙水上船舶的官职。湘江：水名。源出广西省，流入湖南省，为湖南省最大的河流。郭熙：五代北宋间人，善山水寒林。丙午：宋孝宗淳熙十三年。既望：农历十六日。赵景鲁、景望：被约的同游人。萧和父、裕父、时父、恭父：均为萧德藻的子侄，姜夔妻子的兄弟辈。綀服：粗布衣。綀，粗麻织成的布。鬲指：即隔指，古音乐术语，谓萧管或笛子声间隔一孔。晁无咎：即晁补之，无咎是他的字。
五湖旧约，问经年底事，长负清景？暝入西山，渐唤我，一叶夷犹乘兴。倦网都收，归禽时度，月上汀洲冷。中流容与，画桡不点清镜。
译文：曾在太湖相约，问这一年发生了何事？使我未能如愿，长久辜负了这清美的景色。太阳落入西山，渐渐听见有人呼唤我，大家悠闲自在地坐在船上。劳累的渔民大都收网回家了，水鸟按时归巢。月光下的沙洲一派幽静。待船行至中流，更加从容舒缓，人们停止摇桨，水面澄清如镜。
注释：五湖：此指江苏太湖。底事：何事。暝入西山：谓暮色进入西山。暝，日落。夷犹：从容自在。时度：按时。容与：悠然自得貌画桡：有画饰的船桨。清镜：指清澈的水面如镜子一般。
谁解唤起湘灵，烟鬟雾鬓，理哀弦鸿阵。玉麈谈玄，叹坐客、多少风流名胜。暗柳萧萧，飞星冉冉，夜久知秋信。鲈鱼应好，旧家乐事谁省。
译文：谁能唤起湘水女神，摇曳着如烟似雾的长发，拨弄着琴弦，弹奏出幽怨的琴曲。同游坐客高谈阔论，感叹在座之人，都是风流雅士。风吹柳枝发出萧萧之声，夜空中星星缓慢坠落，夜深才知道现已经是秋天了。想起家乡的美味，往日的赏心乐事谁会去了解。
注释：湘灵：湘水女神，即舜帝的妃子娥皇和女英，传说其善于鼓瑟。烟鬟雾鬓：形容鬓发美丽。鸿阵：指鸿雁飞行时发出的叫声。玉麈谈玄：东晋士大夫常执玉麈高谈玄理。这里用以形容同游坐客有名士风度。萧萧：象声词，形容风声。冉冉：形容天宇群星缓缓降落。

姜夔，南宋文学家、音乐家。人品秀拔，体态清莹，气貌若不胜衣，望之若神仙中人。往来鄂、赣、皖、苏、浙间，与诗人词家杨万里、范成大、辛弃疾等交游。庆元中，曾上书乞正太常雅乐，他少年孤贫，屡试不第，终生未仕，一生转徙江湖，靠卖字和朋友接济为生。他多才多艺，精通音律，能自度曲，其词格律严密。其作品素以空灵含蓄著称，有《白石道人歌曲》等。姜夔对诗词、散文、书法、音乐，无不精善，是继苏轼之后又一难得的艺术全才。
