半天风雨如秋。怪石於菟，老树钩娄，苔绣禅阶，尘黏诗壁，云湿经楼。琴调冷声闲虎丘，剑光寒影动龙湫。醉眼悠悠，千古恩仇。浪卷胥魂，山锁吴愁。
译文：半空中风雨布生，给大地罩上了秋天般的气氛。怪石像猛虎或卧或蹲，古树伛偻着屈曲的树身。寺院的台阶上蒙着绿苔，两旁的诗壁上沾满了灰尘，藏经楼偎伴着浮云，也显得那样的湿冷。虎丘塔边再听不到古时的琴声，龙潭水粼粼摇动，仿佛存留着宝剑的寒影。我睁开悠悠的醉眼，回顾历史上的虎斗龙争。如今只见浪涛卷动着伍子胥的英魂，青山无语地锁留着吴国灭亡的怨恨。
注释：虎丘：在江苏苏州市西北，相传春秋时有虎踞丘上三日，故名。於菟：虎的别称。钩娄：枝干屈曲伛偻的样子。琴调冷声闲虎丘：虎丘寺塔基，原为晋司徒王珣的琴台，故谓“琴调冷”。剑光寒影动龙湫：虎丘有剑池，相传吴王阖庐以宝剑殉葬，后秦始皇开掘找寻，有神龙跃出而成池。湫，深潭。胥魂：相传春秋时伍子胥为吴王夫差所杀，精魂不散，成了涛神。吴愁：春秋时吴国终为越国所灭，故言。

乔吉(1280?～1345) 元代杂剧家、散曲作家。一称乔吉甫，字梦符，号笙鹤翁，又号惺惺道人。太原人，流寓杭州。钟嗣成在《录鬼簿》中说他“美姿容，善词章，以威严自饬，人敬畏之”，又作吊词云：“平生湖海少知音，几曲宫商大用心。百年光景还争甚？空赢得，雪鬓侵，跨仙禽，路绕云深。”从中大略可见他的为人。剧作存目十一，有《杜牧之诗酒扬州梦》、《李太白匹配金钱记》、《玉箫女两世姻缘》三种传世。
