清夜沉沉，暗蛩啼处檐花落。乍凉帘幕，香绕屏山角。
译文：在一个夜色沉沉的清秋晚上．只听见暗处的蟋蟀在屋檐前落花的地方鸣叫。夜深靠近帘幕就感到一股凉意忽然透出，室内香炉里散发出来的香烟，轻盈地缭绕在屏风的一角。
注释：呈：奉献给。洛滨，即富柔直，字委申，北宋宰相富弼之孙。靖康初年赐进士出身。高宗建炎四年官至端明殿学士签书枢密院事。后因坚持抗金为秦桧所忌，不久便被罢职。晚年游览于山水之间，与苏迟、叶梦得、张元干等一块游玩吟唱。公元1156年（绍兴二十六年）去世。筠溪，即李弥逊，字似之，自号筠溪翁。徽宗大观三年进士。南渡后以起居郎迁中书舍人。后因反对秦桧议和，不久被落职。公元1140年（绍兴十年）归隐福建连江西山，与张元干、富柔直等吟唱游玩。公元1153年（绍兴二十三年）去世。暗蛩：在暗处藏身的蟋蟀。蛩，蟋蟀。檐花落：屋檐上的水流下来，在灯光的照映下就像银花一般。香：蕙香，此指由香炉里冒出的香烟气。。屏山：屏风。
堪恨归鸿，情似秋云薄。书难托，尽交寂寞，忘了前时约。
译文：心里不免怨那些归来的鸿雁，它们的睛意犹如秋云那样单薄，不肯传递书信。书信难寄，把自己的心事都交给寂寞吧．那就忘记了从前的约会。
注释：鸿：大雁。书：信。尽交：即尽教、听任之意。

元干出身书香门第。其父名动，进士出身，官至龙图阁直学士，能诗。张元干受其家风影响，从小聪明好学，永泰的寒光阁、水月亭是他幼年生活和读书处。十四五岁随父亲至河北官廨（在临漳县）已能写诗，常与父亲及父亲的客人唱和，人称之“敏悟”。
