锦帐重重卷暮霞，屏风曲曲斗红牙，恨人何事苦离家。
译文：卷起映照着晚霞的重重锦绣帐幔，在曲曲的屏风旁无聊地击打着拍板，失意者因为什么事离开了家。
注释：浣溪沙：浣溪沙，词牌名，原为唐代教坊曲名。分平仄两体，字数以四十二字居多，另有四十四字和四十六字两种。屏风：室内隔扇，以木为之，多有雕绘。斗红牙：竞拍红牙演唱也。斗，此指竞相演奏。红牙，红木拍板，演奏时用以节乐。恨人：失意抱恨者。此处作者自指。
枕上梦魂飞不去，觉来红日又西斜，满庭芳草衬残花。
译文：梦魂中也到不了所思念的人身边，一觉醒来太阳开始西斜快要落山了，满院的芳草衬托着残花。
注释：芳草：这里比喻远行的丈夫。残花：暗喻因相思过度而憔悴不堪的女主人公。

秦观（1049-1100）字太虚，又字少游，别号邗沟居士，世称淮海先生。汉族，北宋高邮（今江苏）人，官至太学博士，国史馆编修。秦观一 生坎坷，所写诗词，高古沉重，寄托身世，感人至深。秦观生前行踪所至之处，多有遗迹。如浙江杭州的秦少游祠，丽水的秦少游塑像、淮海先生祠、莺花亭；青田的秦学士祠；湖南郴州三绝碑；广西横县的海棠亭、醉乡亭、淮海堂、淮海书院等。秦观墓在无锡惠山之北粲山上，墓碑上书“秦龙图墓”几个大字。有秦家村、秦家大院以及省级文物保护单位古文游台。
