新篁摇动翠葆，曲径通深窈。夏果收新脆，金丸落，惊飞鸟。浓霭迷岸草。蛙声闹，骤雨鸣池沼。
译文：新竹摇动着它是枝叶，弯弯曲曲的小路通往园林的深幽处。去收取果香四溢的新鲜脆嫩的果实了，金黄色的果实下落，惊起飞鸟。浓厚的雾气，岸边的青草，池中的青蛙。池塘蛙声的喧闹，和夏季常见的骤雨连在一起，令人如见其景，如闻其声。
注释：隔浦莲近拍：词牌名。唐《白居易集》有《隔浦莲》曲，调名本此。此调疑为周邦彦自度曲。中山：山名。县圃：县衙所属的园圃。姑射亭：周邦彦为丽水县衙后圃的亭子所起的名字。新篁：新竹。翠葆：原指饰有翠鸟羽毛的车盖，这里比喻竹子的枝叶。葆是盖子的意思。脆果：新鲜脆嫩的果实。金丸：原指金弹子。浓霭：浓厚的雾气。沼：小水池。池之圆者为池，曲者为沼。
水亭小。浮萍破处，帘花檐影颠倒。纶巾羽扇，困卧北窗清晓。屏里吴山梦自到。惊觉，依然身在江表。
译文：水亭很小，浮萍破损的地方，门前帘花，屋檐檐影颠倒了过来。他也和古代许多士大夫文人一样，在仕途不得意时，总是想归故乡。他因屏上所画吴山而联想到故乡山水，不觉在“困卧”中梦游故乡。只有在梦游中才“梦里不知身是客。”可以获得梦幻中的暂时慰藉。但梦是虚幻的，一觉来，依然面对令人厌倦的现实。
注释：纶巾：亦称“诸葛巾”，是一种以丝巾带做成的头巾。羽扇：以鸟羽做成扇子。羽扇纶巾，是古代风流儒雅的士大夫的打扮。苏轼《念奴娇》词：“羽扇纶巾，谈笑间、强撸灰飞烟灭。”屏里吴山：屏风上画的杭州山水。吴山，杭州西湖东南的一座山，为西湖名胜之一。这是化用温庭筠《春日》诗：“评上吴山远，楼中塑管悲。”江表：古人通常把长江以南称为江表。这里指江宁（今南京）、溧水一带。

周邦彦（1056年－1121年），中国北宋末期著名的词人，字美成，号清真居士，汉族，钱塘（今浙江杭州）人。历官太学正、庐州教授、知溧水县等。徽宗时为徽猷阁待制，提举大晟府。精通音律，曾创作不少新词调。作品多写闺情、羁旅，也有咏物之作。格律谨严。语言典丽精雅。长调尤善铺叙。为后来格律派词人所宗。旧时词论称他为“词家之冠”。有《清真集》传世。
