庾肩吾于梁时，尝作宫体谣引，以应和皇子。及国势沦败，肩吾先潜难会稽，后始还家。仆意其必有遗文，今无得焉，故作还自会稽歌以补其悲。
译文：庾肩吾在梁朝时，曾经作《宫体谣引》，用来奉命与皇子唱和。到了梁朝国势衰败，庾肩吾先是在会稽避难，后来才回家。我认为他一定会留下文章，现在却没有发现，因此作《还自会稽歌》来补写他的悲情。
注释：庾肩吾：字子慎，南阳新野（今属河南）人，世居江陵（今属湖北）。善诗，辞采甚美。萧纲当太子时，任东宫通事舍人。纲即位，任度支尚书。宫体谣引：诗篇名，今不传。应和皇子：奉命与皇子唱和诗歌。皇子，指萧纲，他未被立太子之前，封为晋安王。国势沦败：这里指侯景叛乱，梁朝都城陷落等事件。
野粉椒壁黄，湿萤满梁殿。
译文：块块霉斑把皇宫的墙壁弄得暗黄，成群的萤虫飞绕在梁国宫殿周旁。
注释：椒壁：古代皇后居住的宫殿，常用椒和泥涂在壁上，温和芳香。湿萤：萤生于潮湿的地方，故名。
台城应教人，秋衾梦铜辇。
译文：他曾经是皇宫随侍奉命作诗的宠臣，如今却在秋寒被窝里把太子车辇梦想。
注释：台城：即朝廷所在地禁城。梁朝台城在建康（今江苏南京）。应教：臣子与诸位王子唱和诗作，称为“应教”。铜辇：太子所乘坐的车。
吴霜点归鬓，身与塘蒲晚。
译文：这位归来者的鬓发，点缀有吴地的寒霜，他的身躯将与秋塘蒲草一样衰老枯黄。
注释：塘蒲：一作“蒲塘”。
脉脉辞金鱼，羁臣守迍贱。
译文：含情脉脉地辞别那京都皇宫，流亡的臣子厮守在贫困低贱的家乡。
注释：金鱼：宫门上鱼形锁钥。此处代指皇宫。羁臣：放逐到外地的官员。迍贱：政治上遇到困厄危难，处于贱辱的地位。迍，通“屯”。

李贺（约公元791年-约817年），字长吉，汉族，唐代河南福昌（今河南洛阳宜阳县）人，家居福昌昌谷，后世称李昌谷，是唐宗室郑王李亮后裔。有“诗鬼”之称，是与“诗圣”杜甫、“诗仙”李白、“诗佛”王维相齐名的唐代著名诗人。著有《昌谷集》。李贺是中唐的浪漫主义诗人，与李白、李商隐称为唐代三李。有“‘太白仙才，长吉鬼才’之说。李贺是继屈原、李白之后，中国文学史上又一位颇享盛誉的浪漫主义诗人。李贺长期的抑郁感伤，焦思苦吟的生活方式，元和八年（813年）因病辞去奉礼郎回昌谷，27岁英年早逝。
