带湖吾甚爱，千丈翠奁开。先生杖屦无事，一日走千回。凡我同盟鸥鹭，今日既盟之后，来往莫相猜。白鹤在何处，尝试与偕来。
译文：带湖是我最爱的地方啊，放眼千丈宽阔的湖水，宛如打开翠绿色的镜匣一样，一片晶莹清澈。我闲居无事，手扶竹杖，脚穿麻鞋，徜徉湖畔，一日里竟然千百次绕湖徘徊。鸥鸟啊，你既和我缔结盟好之后，就应常来常往，不要再相疑猜。还有那白鹤在什么地方呢？请你也邀请它一起来。
注释：盟鸥：指与鸥鸟约盟为友，永在水国云乡一起栖隐之意。带湖：在信州（今江西上饶）北灵山下。翠奁：翠绿色的镜匣。这里用来形容带湖水面碧绿如镜。先生：作者自称。杖屦：手持拐杖，脚穿麻鞋。屦，用麻、葛做成的鞋。鹭，鹭鸶，一种水鸟。偕来：一起来。
破青萍，排翠藻，立苍苔。窥鱼笑汝痴计，不解举吾杯。废沼荒丘畴昔。明月清风此夜，人世几欢哀。东岸绿阴少，杨柳更须栽。
译文：鸥鸟立于水边苍苔之上，时而拨动浮萍，时而排开绿藻，原来是在偷窥鱼儿，伺机而捕。可笑你只知盯住游鱼多么痴呆，却不懂我此时举杯的情怀。昔日这里是破败的池沼荒芜的山丘，今夜已是月色皎洁，清风徐来。人世间几度欢乐，几度悲哀？河东绿荫尚嫌稀少，还须把杨柳多多来栽。
注释：痴计：心计痴拙。“不解”句：不理解我举杯自饮的情怀。畴昔，以往，过去。

辛弃疾（1140－1207），南宋词人。原字坦夫，改字幼安，别号稼轩，汉族，历城（今山东济南）人。出生时，中原已为金兵所占。21岁参加抗金义军，不久归南宋。历任湖北、江西、湖南、福建、浙东安抚使等职。一生力主抗金。曾上《美芹十论》与《九议》，条陈战守之策。其词抒写力图恢复国家统一的爱国热情，倾诉壮志难酬的悲愤，对当时执政者的屈辱求和颇多谴责；也有不少吟咏祖国河山的作品。题材广阔又善化用前人典故入词，风格沉雄豪迈又不乏细腻柔媚之处。由于辛弃疾的抗金主张与当政的主和派政见不合，后被弹劾落职，退隐江西带湖。
