西北有高山，东南有大海。生我延平民，居中百千载。
远在天南头，去圣人万里。欲得无菑害，秪赖贤守宰。
圣人念远人，赐我慈父母。辍其股肱佐，来为赤子乳。
我望朱夫子，如望汉召父。请为召父歌，女知召父不。
召父善治田，从横正疆亩。始予我钱镈，以及奄铚艾。
耦耕并牛犁，粳稌诸种艺。田功多方理，要领在水利。
广开沟门阏，处处广浇灌。均水作约束，刻石防决泛。
劭农走阡陌，止舍即野次。召父善教人，颁训从幼艾。
孝弟正家族，勤谨不弛怠。趋役赴公事，和孙于社火。
有禀特秀异，使结衿带佩。入学共弦诵，学古壮而仕。
召父善阜财，民产加丰大。召父善听讼，无情不哗喙。
饥渴召父食，寒祼召父被。召父善使人，随时各分代。
召父善事神，水旱不为厉。人口岁增倍，讼盗悉衰止。
召父去已久，循良风声在。惟有朱夫子，甚与召父似。
凡此召父善，朱夫子尽备。夫子来毋迟，百姓日候伺。

祝允明（1460—1527）字希哲，号枝山，因右手有六指，自号“枝指生”，又署枝山老樵、枝指山人等。汉族，长洲（今江苏苏州）人。他家学渊源，能诗文，工书法，特别是其狂草颇受世人赞誉，流传有“唐伯虎的画，祝枝山的字”之说。祝枝山所书写的“六体书诗赋卷”、“草书杜甫诗卷”、“古诗十九首”、“草书唐人诗卷”及“草书诗翰卷”等都是传世墨迹的精品。并与唐寅、文徵明、徐祯卿齐名，明历称其为“吴中四才子”之一。由于与唐寅遭际与共，情性相投，民间流传着两人的种种趣事。
